Course Structure: What to Expect from Your 14-Day Expedition

Day 1: Meet your instructors and fellow participants at the NOLS base camp, where you’ll get a gear check, course overview, and introductions to your expedition team.

Days 2–7: Embark on your backpacking journey, starting with low-elevation hikes and gradually increasing in difficulty. You'll focus on mastering essential outdoor skills, with time for leadership practice, group discussions, and team-building exercises.

Days 8–13: Continue your trek through more challenging terrain while engaging in leadership activities and honing your problem-solving skills. You’ll have opportunities to lead sections of the trip, fostering confidence and learning to balance group needs with individual goals.

Day 14: Return to the NOLS base camp for a final course debrief and celebration. Reflect on your experiences and the connections you've made during this transformative journey.
