Amy has been teaching community and workplace CPR and first aid classes for over 12 years along the Front Range of Colorado. She got the teaching bug as a college teaching assistant while attaining a BA in Chemistry. A wilderness first aid class and Outward Bound course redirected her energies following a stint in a clinical lab. When not coordinating cycling and hiking trips in adventure travel, she volunteers as an EMT with a fire department. Free time involves cycling, XC skiing, and reading gear catalogs.
