Anne Harmann

Wilderness First Responder

Anne Harmann

Anne grew up playing in and on many of MN’s 10,000 lakes. During college, her career plans pivoted from neuroscience to marine ecology following a 30-day NOLS sea kayaking course in Prince William Sound, AK. Following graduation, Anne moved out to WA where she has always lived with quick access to salty water. For over the past decade, she lived and loved the seasonal lifestyle, working as a kayak guide, field science educator, marine ecology field technician, and NOLS sea kayak instructor. Anne is excited to help others adventure more safely in the wilderness by teaching for NOLS Wilderness Medicine. In the not too distant future, she plans to return to her roots in MN, pursue a degree in occupational therapy, and get a puppy. Anne’s real life super power is her chocolate chip cookie recipe.
