A dream of guiding on the Yampa River brought Bethany to Utah 13 years ago and she is happy to call Utah home today. Bethany has worked in the outdoor education field since 1998 primarily with adolescent populations through non-profit agencies and in therapeutic settings. Working with adolescents in the field has given her years of opportunities to practice wilderness medicine and most importantly, preparation and prevention. As a volunteer for a non-profit community health clinic, Bethany believes in learning while giving back. She is active in the biking community as a high school mountain bike coach, races for a local team and works with a local youth development program. She throws pots in her free time, digs trail work and plans new ways to see the world by bike.
