Heather grew up in Sacramento, California and, despite growing up in a valley, developed a love for the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains from a young age. Her passion for camping and the outdoors began with visits to Tahoe, where her grandparents were camp hosts each summer and where she learned to ski. Heather’s passion for the mountains expanded in college when she learned new skills and activities, all of which she loves to share with others through outdoor education. Heather has a background and M.A. in Education and currently works for NOLS Advancement.
