Heidi grew up on the nature coast of Florida and has been escaping West ever since. A graduate of Texas A&M University, she now climbs, rides bikes, and builds trails near Santa Fe, New Mexico. She likes coffee in the summer, black teas in the winter, watching snow blow off buildings and trees, high desert, trying new things, reading nonfiction, mild sunburns, blues rock, and traveling by foot. Her best friend and adventure buddy is her blue heeler who is the best cragging dog she’s ever met. Her most immediate goal is to learn Spanish, and her most long-term goal is to paddle the entire length of a river in one trip. She is impressed by most things except Chacos® and Chaco® tan lines.
