Jane's love for all things outdoors began at a very young age, growing up with the Appalachians in her backyard. After earning her B.S in Natural Resources Conservation and Forestry, Jane moved west in pursuit of bigger mountains and deeper snow. Over a decade working in various capacities in the outdoor industry has instilled a deep passion for outdoor ethics and conservation that is intertwined in everything she does. She's learned to bridge her desire to save the planet with outdoor education, which now fuels her enthusiasm for teaching wilderness medicine. When she isn't working for NOLS, you'll find Jane going downhill really fast - whether on skis or two wheels - and enjoying lazy river days with her other half.
