Jeff Wohl

Jeff has worked as a NOLS instructor since 1999 hiking, climbing, horsepacking, caving and in winter programs. He loves fueling students' sense of wonder in wild places, as well as helping people connect to the natural history near their homes. He has also worked for The Nature Conservancy as a naturalist alongside experts such as ornithologist David Allen Sibley, bear biologist Chuck Jonkel, and Smithsonian paleo-botanist Scott Wing. He loves continuing his education with other naturalist and scientists, including Jon Young, expert in tracking and bird language, the Bushmen in the Kalahari, and cat and sea turtle biologists in Costa Rica. When not working in the backcountry, Jeff loves trail running, studying and drawing nature, and renovating older homes with his partner Nikki.
