John is always looking for the next adventure. His current adventure is parenting! While raising up a tiny explorer, he works as a nurse at a trauma teaching hospital and teaches mostly WFA's in Texas where he resides in Austin with his growing family. Crouse got his outdoor chops as a sailboat captain in the Caribbean, Florida, New England, and Baja. Mentoring youth has been a focus of his life, especially in the mountains of the Appalachians where he spent many of his summers. Teaching Wilderness First Aid is one of his great passions and he looks forward to sharing the NOLS' Patient Assessment System with you!
