Joe is a recently retired U.S. Army Special Forces officer whose goal is to be a lifelong learner. Joe can proudly say that one of the highlights of his military experiences has been privilege to return to his alma mater and teach at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Transitioning from the military, Joe aspires to continue his passion for learning and teaching through NOLS Wilderness Medicine and for continued outreach to the active military and veteran communities. Originally from Philadelphia, Joe and his wife have migrated west where they now call Tacoma, Washington home--an excellent jump off point to the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest!
