Ron holds a BS in Education from Tennessee Technological University and an MS in Science Education from Montana State University. He teaching science and working in boarding schools since 1999. Ron is also a member of the Landmark Learning Faculty. He has worked a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Tennessee and is currently working with the county Search and Rescue team and with the Western North Carolina Mountain Rescue Team. When he is not working or volunteering, Ron’s time is spent with his family learning to grow vegetables, exploring the country, and serving as his daughter’s personal wilderness guide. He enjoys reading, backpacking, camping, flyfishing, and trail building.
