Susan was born and raised in Idaho to a family that values the beauty of and exploring the great outdoors. In 2008, she took her first NOLS WFR course, igniting a passion for wilderness medicine. Susan has enjoyed many seasons guiding rock and whitewater trips for youth and ski patrolling. She is currently employed as a Neonatal Intensive Care RN and for NOLS Wilderness Medicine. When freed from the demands of work, she spends much of her time out on trails with her dogs, climbing rocks, skiing pow and enjoying wildflowers and sunsets.
